Welcome to the WWII Girls Baseball Living History League. Our vintage 12" softball league is a recreational friendly competition league. Our league is open to all interested adult women who would like to play some softball in a friendly environment and share our love of history of the game with the public. Above all, we are honoring the original gals of summer by keeping their dream alive as they remember the game as it was played way back when. We play in vintage reproduction 1940s uniforms as the original All-American league wore, we hit with wooden bats, and we catch with old fashioned pan cake 5 finger baseball gloves.
Our web site contains many details about how our league operates and how new recruits can become players. Please feel free to explore all our league details and have fun rambling down memory lane in our Tidbits and Trivia section where you can see photos, rosters, and songs from the past; and even a section on the 1992 film, "A League of Their Own".
Enjoy!!! Please feel free to forward any questions or thoughts you may have about the league to our contact Email. We are always scouting for new players; so if you are new and would like to join us for a practice to see how much fun we have, please send us an email. Thank you for your Interest and welcome.
